When you type a name, phone number, or address into a search form, that entry goes to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the details you place in the message and use them to answer you.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Aggregate use helps us maintain the service and see which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How We Use Data
The limited data described above supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We neither sell a visitor list nor create profiles of individual users.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to the Town Transparency Portal, Wake and Harnett county offices, North Carolina agencies, library collections, and outside search tools. Information submitted on those services falls under their policies, not ours. The same is true for sponsored search results, which a third party provides.
When Data Is Shared
Providers that host or support the site may process logs for us. Analytics and advertising services may receive the automatic information already described. We disclose data when valid legal process requires it and do not otherwise share visitor information.
Our Security Measures
An encrypted connection serves the site. Server logs are kept only as long as the stated operational purposes require. Because visitors do not create accounts, this service holds no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly gather personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor submitted personal information so we can delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Your rights may vary with where you live. North Carolina has no verified omnibus consumer-privacy law that grants a general deletion or universal opt-out right. Because we retain little visitor information, a request usually means checking our contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing data we control where appropriate. Government records held by Fuquay-Varina, Wake or Harnett County, or North Carolina agencies remain outside our control and are governed in part by the North Carolina Public Records Law, N.C.G.S. Chapter 132. Under N.C.G.S. ยง132-1.10, a person may send the proper custodian a no-fee written request to redact specified protected identifiers from publicly accessible register-of-deeds or court images. North Carolina's Address Confidentiality Program under Chapter 15C offers a substitute address and mail forwarding to eligible relocated survivors, but it does not erase every older public record.
